Judge Pauser Trump Administration Federal Financing Freezing

A federal judge paused on Tuesday the Trump Administration’s Office of Management and Budget Note, which aimed to freeze funding for various federal programs.

US district judge Loren Alikhan for the District of Columbia, a judge appointed by former President Joe Biden, introduced an administrative stay on Tuesday afternoon and paused in the Trump Administration’s action.

Alikhan ordered that the break was stayed until 3 February at 3 p.m. 17.00

During a virtual hearing, Aikhan heard from a lawyer for the Ministry of Justice and a lawyer for the plaintiffs, then at. 5 pm for federal funding ticked down.

A federal judge stopped the Trump Administration’s temporary federal funding freezing.

“I think there is the spectrum of irreparable harm,” Aikhan said.

Earlier in the day, the White House clarified press secretary Karoline Leavitt that the federal grants and loans that have a break would not affect individual assistance that goes directly to Americans.
