Kentucky gives up 11-0 races to close it that was otherwise a good first half

This would be a feel-good half-time report that goes into the final media hourlyout, Kentucky up eight at the time and struggled with the best of them despite coming in as double-digit sub-dogs. The shots fell and the ball moved, even with some crazy lineups on the floor – nine guys with at least four minutes, including eight from Collin Chandler.

Then the cats gave up another big race to close half, Tennessee transformed the eight-point deficit into a three-point lead during the break, up 33-30. It was an 11-0 race for VOLS that included five offensive rebounds in the last 2:17.

Brutal.

Otherwise, things are good for Kentucky. Jaxson Robinson shoots away and scores 11 points on 4-11 shooting with three 3-Pointers, followed by Ansley Almonor with nine points of 3-5 from three. Koby Brea added five while Otega Owh has three and Brandon Garrison has two.

As a team, cats shoot 40.7 percent off the field and 43.8 percent from three. At the other end, VOLS shoots only 30.3 percent from the field and 25.0 percent from three. The difference? 8-12 on the line for UT, 1-2 on the line of the UK. Eight revenue compared to only one for Tennessee does not help either.

Well yes, no excuses. The door is open to win this game. Just keep fighting and hit shots, everything else will take care of themselves. 20 minutes to take care of the business.
