Lawrence, can .– Zeke Mayo scored 24 points, including a couple to squeeze free kicks with 3.1 seconds left, and No. 11 Kansas stood together to beat UCF 91-87 Tuesday night to avoid his first back-to- Back loss in Allen Fieldhouse of 36 years.

Hunter Dickinson added 24 points and Flory Bidunga had 10 points and 11 boards for Jayhawks (15-5, 6-3 BIG 12), coming out of a double-over-overturn to the sixth ranked Houston.

The Knights (13-7, 4-5), who got 34 points from Keyshawn Hall and 19 from Darius Johnson, led by nine early in the second half before Jayhawks spent a 12-2 race taking their first lead since Midway through it First half.

Jayhawks clung to an 87-86 lead when KJ Adams, back after missing three games for a shoulder injury, made a few free kicks with 4.6 seconds left. Kansas stuck Johnson at the other end, and he made one of two bad shots, and Mayo then went to the line to get free throw.

Kansas has not lost consecutive matches on Phog since he fell four just under Roy Williams in 1989.
