Almost at the same time, Ousmane scores Dembélé for PSG to double their lead on Stuttgart.

And then Dinamo Zagreb, the Croatian club, which has largely been written off against AC Milan!

  • A slow start for man city

The city so open and vulnerable to the usage attack early.

At the other end, they have not created much of the note in the first 12 minutes.

They have lots of possession and they will probably camp out in the last third. As always, the question is whether they can translate it into chances and eventually hit in a goal. A draw would not suffice.

  • Two minutes later and Rogers scores again! Villa up 2-0 vs. Celtic

  • The first goal of the day goes to Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers

  • 1-0 to PSG!

Bradley Barcola sets the Parisians up 1-0 from a corner.

Of course, that leaves PSG in excellent form. They only need a draw.

  • Early target, early movement

Morgan Rogers scores for Aston Villa against Celtic. And then he scores again to set the hosts up 2-0 within five minutes. (Rogers has been a revelation in Villa Park this season.)

This result for now would push the villa up into the top eight.

Inter Milan, Atlético Madrid, Small and Bayern Munich are also up 1-0

  • In progress!

All 36 teams, all 18 games, all at once.

This can be exciting. It can be completely overwhelming and/or anti -climactic.

    Let’s find out!

  • Will PSG and Stuttgart play for a draw?

A further detail to consider: PSG and Stuttgart, who meet Head-to-head in Germany tonight, and which are levels of 10 points, both would guarantee progression to the final game round with a draw.

So … can they be conservative or even gather and settle for a 0-0?

The latter scenario is unlikely because of the optiA. But if they are tied in the second half, don’t be surprised if they both turn in things in and accept a draw.

  • As it says …

Before everything starts, a reminder that the bracket that goes into the day would look like this:

    (UEFA)(UEFA)

    (UEFA)

Of course, all this will change over the next two hours.

You can play your own scenarios out and follow the live table, On UEFA’s site.

  • Champions League Knockout Bracket will take shape soon

At the end of the night we know which 24 teams will move on to the knockout rounds.

We also get a rough overview of the knockout round bracket. While UEFA in recent years held a draw in front of each round, teams this year will be grafted and pulled into a bracket that looks like this:

Champions League Knockout-Round Bracket Shell. (UEFA)Champions League Knockout-Round Bracket Shell. (UEFA)

Champions League Knockout-Round Bracket Shell. (UEFA)

In other words, at the end of the evening, each qualifying team will have their first opponent, which has been reduced to two or four options. Whoever ends 15th plays either 17 or 18. In the playoffs. Whoever ends first plays either 15th, 16th, 17th or 18th in the round of 16. (In the bracket above, read “/” As “or.”)

The playoff qualifications (HOLD 9-24) teaching their specific opponents By a draw on Friday (06:00 am).

They then play two-leg bands in mid-February. And then, with the field cut to 16, another draw on February 21 will sort the remaining teams and put the full bracket.

The entire field will essentially be poded in bellows of two – 1./2., 3./4. etc. And the top eight cannot meet before the quarter.

  • Despite fire, one starts City vs. Club Brugge still at. 15.00 one

  • How to see today

First thing first: In the US, every game is on paramount+.

Question: Which of the 18 should you choose?

The best answer: All of them. Watch “Golazo Show”, which is football’s best takeover of “NFL Redzone.” It is whipping up any goal, great chance and more. CBS SPORTS CREW – Unlike Premier League and other TV companies that have tried similar concepts – have done an excellent job with it. And it might as well have been designed specifically for a day like today.

But if you prefer less chaos, you are probably the city use. If you have another screen, go with it and PSG-Stuttgart.

  • Scenarios, and how to follow them

There are literally thousands of potential results today. With 18 simultaneous games and target difference inevitably a factor, the scenarios are endless.

So our advice is the same as it was in front of match day 1: Don’t even try to treat them.

There are of course a few digestible ones:

    • Manchester City should beat Club Brugge

    • PSG has to win or pull to be safe. A loss on Stuttgart, a man with man city, and results for Benfica and Sporting Clube de Portugal would eliminate the Parisians.

    • However, all four PSG, Stuttgart, Benfica and Sporting would go through, regardless of their results if you do not win.

    • Atlético Madrid and AC Milan, the two teams of 15 points, can squeeze a goodbye to the 16 -round with a win

But so much is contingent on so much else that the full list of permutations is impossible to internalize. So settle in, watch the games and follow; We try to help you understand the consequences of each goal.

  • Lineups

Liverpool, who has already complained somewhere in the top two, will play another string team on this last match day. (There is no difference between ending first and second.)

Elsewhere, there is some rotation for teams that are already safe in the knockout round, but most people play their strongest lineups.

  • A first outside man city stadium

A crucial evening in Manchester City begins with a fire outside Etihad Stadium.

It’s off, authorities say no one was injured and the game is set to move on as planned. But still, not the ideal start of the night …

Associated Press has more details here.
