Manchester City against Club Brugge Live

What happened to City?

After a record -winded race under Guardiola, Manchester City appears to have turned the tide on their Torride Premier League form.

Although they have not yet corrected it in Europe.

Granted, they haven’t had many opportunities to do so. They have only played once in Europe since they banished their race by a victory in 13 matches and it was their 4-2 defeat against Paris Saint-Germain last week.

But the defeat of the Parc des Princes raised alarmingly, increasingly common problems. City found a 2-0 lead in Paris, but was astonishingly tied back by four PSG goals that condemned them to this nervous last day.

When he spoke before the match at TNT Sports, Joleon Lescott said: “It will give them fragility in their personal confidence.

“To move on in Paris and think they had done enough. I definitely thought they had done enough with two goals but that’s not enough at this point. So this game is not over until the final flute is blown up , regardless of the scoring.

Rio Ferdinand added: “It’s fun, it takes a long time to build the reputation that Aura, where it builds a fear factor before playing a game.

“It is surprising how fast it can disintegrate in front of your eyes. A few bad performances or big games where it doesn’t happen to you.

“Suddenly, people come in with their chest breathed out that usually went lunchbacked into a stadium toward you.”
