US Basketball CEO Grant Hill was present to give the Olympic heroes their rings when NBATV caught a moment between those who indicated good news for the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles.

“Make sure you answer your phone in four years,” Hill said, giving Booker and Durant their rings. Both answered in the same way.

“I’m there.”

Durant and Booker are currently confirming their commitment to competing for Team USA in four years. In Paris -ol in 2024, the duo was instrumental in ensuring the United States securing gold, combining for 25.5 points per year. Battle like a duo.

Booker will be 31 years old when the next Olympic cycle rolls around. He is still expected to be in the prime of his career and be an important part of US basketball campaign in LA. For Durant, however, it is a little more complicated.

Durant would be a month away from being 40 years old and would be the oldest United States -the Basketball -Olympic in the team’s history. A fifth Olympic look and an expected fifth medal location would place Durant at the top of the placements for most medals of a men’s basketball olympic ever.

Winning in 2028 would tie him with Sue Bird for the second time in gold medals of either a men’s or woman’s basketball Olympian with five, behind colleague Phoenix Basketball Legend Diana Taurasi with six gold medals.

The 15th time All-Star is the men’s US basketball scoring leader with 518 points. One last Olympic campaign could see him rise to the series of the allympic scoring leaders at all times as Durant is currently in 8th place. Durant is already a US basketball legend, but by 2028 he tries to create separation for the future generation that players, like Booker, will try to catch for decades.
