A large part of the New Deal includes protection against AI.

Writers Guild of America East and ABC News has been agreed on a new three-year deal.

What happens:

  • Deadline reports That Writers Guild of America East has “overwhelming” ratified this new three-year deal with ABC News, which includes AI protection and big financial gains.
  • In this new agreement, ABC News will not dismiss any current employees and will in future announce the implementation of AI systems at least three weeks in advance. The two parties also agree to meet regularly to discuss AI.
  • A salary increase of 3.5% per year for three years has been agreed together with further paid leisure time, contributions from health funds and great attribution for authors.
