Celtics Injury Report: Jayson Tatum upgraded, 2 players excluded against bulls

Celtics got a mix of good and bad news ahead of their slope towards Chicago Bulls Wednesday night at TD Garden. The team excluded Al Horford (toe displacement) and Sam Hauser (hip impinging) to the other straight game, while All-Star Forward Jayson Tatum (Knee Tendiopathy) was upgraded from questionable to available around hour before tip off. Derrick White (Shin) will also be back in the lineup after missing Monday’s loss to Rockets.

Tatum came out of playing 41 minutes in a severe loss to Rockets Monday night. However, he got the green light to play, which comes as no surprise as he has been one of the more durable stars in the NBA this year, where he was missing only three games so far.

Horford was a late scratch for Monday’s loss to the rockets after originally declared available minutes before tip. Luke Kornet got the place to start in his place, but he had to move back to the bench tonight with White Back at first five.

“We found out at the start of the game,” Mazzulla said of Horford’s absence after Celtics’ 114-112 losses. “(Al) did everything he could to get ready for shots, he did everything in his shooting time, and just before the game he just didn’t feel good, but he did everything he could to play.”

Bulls will be without top scoring guard Zach avalanche due to personal reason for Wednesday’s Matchup. Startguke Coby White has been upgraded to available after being listed as questionable with a bone marker. He will be limited to 25-28 minutes according to coach Billy Donovan.

Celtics and Bulls have shared the 1-1 season in two matchups this year, which includes a road gain for Chicago in TD Garden. Celtics and Bulls overturn Wednesday night at. 7.30 pm in Boston.
