After a five-game-winning row had Nashville Predators seeing one Potential Playoff -pushthey have now lost two just after a 3-1 loss to Vancouver Canucks on Bridgestone Arena Wednesday.

Thatcher Demko made 31 savings to keep Predators In chess and keep their attacks, which suddenly have problems scoring again.

“A bit of the same old song and dance from earlier this year when we don’t seem to score,” said coach Andrew Brunette After the loss.

After scoring 40 goals in a 10-game from December 31 to January 23, the predators have scored only three goals in two games.

“They had some options, but our top guys just didn’t really have it tonight,” Brunette said.

What Andrew Brunette did not like about Predators’ 0-for-3 efforts on Power Play

A topic Wednesday was Nashville’s Power Play, who went 0-for-3 against Canucks ’13. Ranked penalty.

According to Natural state trickthe predators generated four shots on target during the six -minute power game time, only one of which was steered a shot with high danger.

Brunette believed that the Power Play device generally – which had scored at a high speed under the winning stripe – was not as sharp as it should be, especially when bringing the puck into the zone with control.

“I don’t know if anyone besides (novel Josi) has really been comfortable bringing the puck up the ice all the time,” Brunette said. “We knew it would be a bit of a challenge to get into the year (breakouts).”

Getting the puck into the zone with control during a Power Play allows the device to configure properly, and take advantage of the team’s elite protector such as Filip Forsberg and Steven Stamkos.

The predator’s power play was ranked 14. With a success rate of 22.1%, which came into Wednesday’s game – a little from last season 21.9% success rate.

But unsuccessful zoning inputs have hampered Power Play all season, as they did to Canucks.

“We have to find a way to be a little creative or for someone to be a little more comfortable with carrying it in,” Brunette said. “When we don’t throw Pucks away (on zoning), we don’t have to go back much. We went back too much tonight.”
