Raining in the north -texas today? -NBC 5 DALLAS-FORT WORTH

A potent storm system moving into the north -texas brings uneasy weather to the region.

Scattered showers began during the afternoon hours on Wednesday. The risk of heavier rain and thunderstorms continued Wednesday night until Thursday morning.

A flooding watch has been sent to parts of the North -texas, which starts at 1 p.m. 18 Wednesday night and continues into Thursday morning.

Widespread 2-3 “rainfall will be likely with isolated higher amounts possible. This may result in some floods and high water on the area’s roads. However, the storms move out quickly, leaving dry weather and a sunshine at noon Thursday.

Serious weather forecasts

While the serious threat is low, a few storms could produce gusty wind and small hail. Storm Prediction Center has much of northern Texas included in a risk of level 1 for serious storms.
