Billionaire Microsoft founder Bill Gates revealed he was surprised by Silicon Valley shifts to the right during an interview published on Thursday.

“I’ve always thought of Silicon Valley like being back of the middle,” Gates told New York Times. “The fact that there is now a significant group with the right to the center is a surprise to me.”

Gates, who supported former Vice President Kamala Harris in the 2024 election, met with President Donald Trump after he won and said President was receptive to the problems he brought up.

He added, “I want to engage this administration just as I did the first Trump administration as best I can.”

Brennan pressed Vance on whether they were still planning to break Big Tech.
