Spacewalkers complete removal of radio hardware and microbe -search – space station

NASA -astronauts Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore concluded their space walk at 1 p.m. 13:09 EST 30 January. It was the ninth space walk for Williams and the fifth for Wilmore, and it was the 274th. Spacewalk In support of space station collection, maintenance and upgrades. Williams surpassed the former NASA astronaut Peggy Whitson’s record for total space walking time by a female astronaut. Williams now has 62 hours, 6 minutes of total space walking time, fourth on NASA’s list of all times.

Williams and Wilmore completed their primary target, including the removal of a radio frequency group antenna unit from the station’s professional chair and collection of samples of surface material for analysis from Destiny Laboratory and Quest Airlock.
