Graham grills fbi -nominated patel over ‘disgusting’ and ‘corrupt’ crossfire hurricane probe

Trump FBI Director-Nominated Kash Patel was grilled on Thursday over the FBI’s investigation into alleged Trump-Russia connections in the wake of the 2016 election, known according to its nickname “Crossfire Hurricane” and which has emerged as something of a partial lightning rod in Years since the study was closed.

Senator Lindsey Graham, in turn, spent most of his allotted time on Thursday to grill patel over his views on the investigation, which he has shined courage as politically motivated and a “disgusting” use of FBI resources.

Patel was exploited in 2017 by the then intelligence chairman Devin Nunes to join House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence to investigate the origin of the Trump-Russia probe-a study that was widely praised by Republicans such as helping to discredit the FBI’s Inquiry.

“Is it reasonable to say that the people who are responsible for examining the Crossfire organ hated Trump’s gut?” Graham asked Patel on Thursday during his confirmation hearing.

“Yes, Sir,” Patel replied.

Graham added: “Do you believe the Crossfire Orchan was one of the most disgusting episodes in the FBI story of a corrupt investigation led by corrupt people who would take Donald Trump down?”

After Patel responded in the affirmative, Graham continued to separate what he sees as the politicization of the FBI, which he claimed, “ignores evidence, constitutes evidence and lies to get Donald Trump.”
