Former Olympian Tonya Harding, best known for her commitment to the biggest scandal in the US art skating, has appeared in the public eye and has posted a video in his brand new X account.

“Hi everyone! I have finally figured out how to make an account here !! “She wrote in the caption.

“I am very excited to connect again with you all (if someone remembers me)”

Eventually she signed the post “With Love, Tonya.”

In the sent video, Harding looks far from her figure skating days in the 1990s. In a selfie-style clip recorded in a wooded area, the 54-year-old appears to be without makeup with his long blonde hair pulled back into a tight ponytail, while the sporty a plain dark blue zip-up sweater.

“Hi everyone! I’m Tonya Harding and I’m on X! “She happily said in the clip, where she announced her arrival in the social media platform, formerly known as Twitter. “Oh my God, I’m so excited!”

She continues to wish her followers a happy new year while she adds: “Join me there and let’s chat it up. Love you! God bless! “

She ends the video by blowing a kiss to the camera and giving an enthusiastic “Bye!”

Harding is a difficult figure to forget in American Olympic history after her notorious scandal involving rival Nancy Kerrigan.

In January 1994, Harding and Kerrigan were ready to compete for a place on the Olympic team, but the day before the American art skating river National Championships, a hitman entered the woman’s closet and beat Kerrigan in the leg.

Jeff Gillooly, Hardings Partner at the time, hired Hitman, and it has long been thought she was part of the plan.

Users at X were quick to joke about Harding who came along.

“Right here for knee-print reactions,” a user replied.

“Break a leg, Tonya!” was a common mood from other users.

“Man, what happened to you. It’s like a club to the knee that sees you again, ”another user wrote.

Harding also played several public performances in the then Wake of the 2017 movie I, Tonya, where Margot Robbie was nominated for an Oscar while portraying the controversial figure skating runner.

In terms of irony, the timing of Harding’s resumption could not have been worse.

Hours after her first post on X, allegedly carrying “more members” of the United States Art Skating as well as some Russian skaters were involved in a tragic accident as it collided with a military helicopter on approach to Washington DCS Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport.

Harding posted about the accident and called it “devastating”.

“The events that took place last night in Washington, DC is absolutely devastating,” she posted on Thursday morning.

“I am told that several professional figurines were also on board the flight. Sends my love and prayers to all victims and their families. “
