Fans have been treated with goals galore in this season’s UEFA Champions League-now, things are warming up again when the draw for knockout-phase-play-offs loom.

It’s been a season of Firsts in the Champions League, with the preliminary play-off round to get started in February.

However, a draw must take place first, and with that in mind, here is everything you need to know about the next step on the road to Munich.

A draw is held in the House of European Football in Nyon, Switzerland, which is UEFA’s headquarters.

The inventory itself will be played over two weeks, with the first legs to take place on February 11 and 12 before the second legs on February 18 and 19.

British clubs Manchester City and Celtic have the same two possible opponents in the UEFA Champions League Knockout-Phase-Play-Offs after completing 22 and 21.

The Scottish giants and Premier League masters face either 15-time winners Real Madrid or German icons Bayern Munich after they finished 11 and 12.

While the top eight pages do not find out their opponents until the last 16 draw on February 21, the bracket format means they have four possible opponents.

Liverpool ended the top of the league level, but there are no easy games in the UEFA Champions League and they will now meet one of Monaco, Brest, Paris Saint-Germain or Benfica.

Arsenal completed their league phase campaign in the third and will take on one of Feyenoord, Juventus, AC Milan or PSV Eindhoven when their campaign resumes

Aston Villa secured their place in the top eight with an entertaining 4-2 triumph over Celtic, and will now face a mouth-watering meeting with one of Atalanta, Borussia Dortmund, Sporting Lisbon or Club Brugge in the last 16.

The top eight pages of the league table automatically pass on to the last 16, which means that only the teams that ended between the ninth and 24th will be included in the final game.

Teams that ended between ninth and 16th place will be grafted, while the teams placed between 17 and 24th will be frozen.
