Trump Tariffs: What does he try to achieve for the US economy and trade?

After promising during his election campaign to impose an immediate blocking of tariffs on US imports president, president Donald Trump Has repeated its plans to begin with 25% taxes on imports from Canada and Mexico on February 1st.

He also promised during the campaign to raise tariffs to 60% for goods imported from China, the world’s largest production nation and to 20% for those brought in from the rest of the world. His limitations could prove to be the tightest for US foreign trade since the 1930s.
