Europa League -round in 16th place secured

We have sealed somewhere in the UEFA Europa League round of 16 thanks to Thursday evening’s victory over Elfsborg.

When we run out 3-0 winners over the Swedish side, we finished the group with 17 points which have seen us quit in 4^Th Place and progress automatically to the last 16.

The draw for the 16th round will take place on Friday, February 21, and we will be paired for the draw with Manchester United, which finished in third place.

Although we do not know our opponents in the 16th round, we know that it will be one of four teams thanks to UEFA’s new seizure system that is in use for all their competitions.

The page we are facing will be one of Real Sociedad, Galatasaray, AZ Alkmaar and Central Jutland, which ended the 13th, 14th, 19th and 20.

They will now take a place in Knockout Play-off games to decide which two to move on to the round of 16. Their games for play-offs will be drawn tomorrow before being played next month February.

The round of 16 matches will be two -legged clashes, with the first leg taking place on Thursday, March 6 and the second stage on March 13. We will be the grafted team in a tie, so it will be home for the second stage.
