Indianapolis – Detroit Pistons is currently in the second half of the season and remains one of NBA’s most surprising team.

Coach JB Bickerstaff has revived the franchise, which had a winning record of 23-23 record that entered Wednesday’s Matchup against Indiana Pacers. The team’s success is credited to a handful of players, led by supposed all-star cade cunningham.

However, Ron Holland II and Ausar Thompson began the season and fought through their respective efforts. The individual growth that both players showed during the previous week could be enough to help the stamps thrive in the latter part of the season.

News: Ron Holland’s 3-point shooting is in the right direction

Views: The stamps have never deterred the Netherlands from trying 3-Pointers, and now their work with him is starting to pay off.

The Netherlands made a Career High Three 3-Pointer against the Golden State Warriors on January 9 and has since joined at least one triple in five of the last nine games. And in these five matches there have been at least three cases where the Netherlands associated with several attempts.

“I think Ron has seen the game brake and understand his spots,” Bickerstaff said. “His teammates trust him; they still throw him the ball when he’s open. He shoots the ball with confidence and faith and he has been working on it. It’s not something coming overnight. It’s something he has put A ton of hours in to help oneself get better and more confident in his shot.

Holland’s progress with his shooting extends beyond the confidence and confidence that the stamps have placed in him. His time spent working with assistant coach Fred Vinson is well documented and the results of his efforts begin to get on the surface.

The Netherlands still has a long way to go before he establishes himself as a true 3-and-D player, but his performance in the last nine games has shown that he is on the right course. Before the game against Warriors, the Netherlands shoots 21.2% at 3-point field target attempts.

News: Ausar Thompson gets rid of minutes limitations.

Views: In Saturday’s loss to Orlando Magic, Thompson reached a significant milestone. He played a season high 29 minutes and marked the third straight match, he darkened the 20-minute brand since he debuted at the end of November.

Over the last four games, Thompson has an average of 24.2 minutes and has demonstrated his ability to help the team win by an average of 10.8 points, 5.3 rebounds, 2.0 steal and 1.0 blocks. More importantly, his extended minutes also show that his conditioning has improved significantly during the previous week.

With the stamps ready for a race towards the post -season, Thompson’s rise in minutes would give Detroit a marked boost at both ends. Against the magic he ended with 16 points, five rebounds, four steals and one block.

“I thought he did a good job of showing who he is and how he can contribute,” Bickerstaff said. “And it’s not a (one-dimensional) thing. As good as he’s defensively, there’s so much more he brings to the game … It’s a good step for him.”

News: The NBA All-Star reserves to be revealed on Thursday.

2025 NBA All-Star Game Starters were released on January 23rd. Cunningham finished in fifth place among eastern conference guards by voting. While it wasn’t too much of a surprise that Cunningham lacked to be a starter, the league is likely to announce its first All-Star Nod as a reserve that will be revealed on Thursday night.

The former No. 1 selection of the NBA draft in 2021 has shown star potential throughout its first three seasons in the league. However, Pistons’ resurgence this season has raised Cunningham to elite status. It is also worth mentioning that Cunningham has put together a career season, an average of 24.8 points, 9.4 assists and 6.4 rebounds.

Despite some recent challenges, Cunningham’s performance has become more valuable since Jaden Iivey’s absence. After Iivey’s serious leg injury on January 1, Cunningham has led the stamps to a 9-5 record.

“The very first conversation he and I had, you could feel what this city, this place, this team and this group of guys he works with every single day, means to him,” Bickerstaff said. “The conversations never acted about him unless that’s how he can help someone else, and that’s the mindset that he approaches the game with …

“All he does is help the bigger good, and because he is talented enough and competitive enough, he will be respected by his peers and talked about in the same breath as these guys. But he understands that it is not happening, If everyone else around him has no success.

News: One week from the trade deadline, the stamps have a significant decision to make their way forward.

Views: The NBA trading deadline is seven days away and the pistons are in a unique situation. They have taken a significant leap during Bickerstaff in his first season, and their success has the franchise on the verge of qualifying for the autumn period for the first time in six years.

Although doing the final game would put Detroit in a position of losing its first round pick, pistons owe it to himself to make an endgame and being buyers at the deadline would increase their chances. The trading deadline would give Pistons an opportunity to fill in multiple vacancies and improve their list by getting a reliable Stretch Big Man or land a secondary ball trader.
