LSU’s Sa’myah Smith should be suspended after fighting against Oklahoma

In the first quarter of LSU Women’s Basketball’s Top-15 Matchup with Oklahoma, High-Stakes became controversial gameplay for a match.

After the whistle was blown up, Redshirt Sophomore Fremad Sa’myah Smith was tied with an Oklahoma player under the hoop and pushed her vigorously.

Another Oklahoma player, Liz Scott, reciprocated with his own shaking. Both were thrown out and will be suspended for the next game according to SEC’s rules.

Smith will now miss LSUS Matchup with Mississippi State on Sunday.

In a still contentious second quarter, Oklahoma head coach Jennie Baranczyk was assessed a technical for her interaction with a judge.

In addition, LSU Center Aalyah del Rosario was assessed an obvious error for another crumb under the curve.

At the break, LSU led the physical matchup 52-42.
