Netflix confirms octopus games season 3 release date, revealing new photos

Squid Game Season 3 premieres on Netflix on June 27, 2025, the streamer has announced.

Netflix released a new poster and pictures of the third and final season of his smash hit show that revealed “a tempting glimpse of fate for the surviving players.”

By picking up where season 2 turned off, season 3 explores the choices gi-female (Lee Jung-Jae) will do in the midst of “overwhelming despair.” As the front man (Lee Byung-Hun) plans his next move, the surviving players find their decisions leading to increasingly serious consequences with each round of the deadly games, Netflix said. “This season promises to push the boundaries of excitement and drama and keep viewers glued to the action.”

The newly revealed launch poster shows a pink guard that pulls a bloody participant against a chest wrapped in a pink band. “Away is rainbow-colored traces of season 2’s six-legged pentathlon; in its place, a vibrant swirling floral pattern that is ominous, shadows the cutthroat final coming,” Netflix said. “The creepy silhouettes of Young-Hee and her companion Cheol-Su-first suggested in the last season’s post-credit scene anti- that even more brutal games are ahead of us.”
