Dora Jar on the viral Gracie Abram’s Tour Drama: ‘Don’t feel bad for me’

Of course, Gracie is such a graceful, beautiful spirit and an open -hearted person. She has directed a lot of positivity in my way. There is too much to really remember. It’s just a lot.

I saw Maggie Rogers comment on your instagram and say, “Love you, sweet legend.” So I feel like everything was worth it.

I love her so much ever since “dog days.” It was the first song I loved by Maggie. She is so special. Lots of wonderful women supporting women in this moment.

Will this change how to plan the show? What do you think?

I want to keep it secret, but it will be another show.

Gracie Abrams embrace her delusions

Singer-songwriter on his new album, The secret of us, How she ended up writing a song in a “theater child” DIS with Taylor Swift and how she prepares for her own great tour.

Gracie Abrams

Obviously, people have to familiarize themselves with your music. Can you go through your discography? What songs should we start with?

My first ep is the 2021’s Digital Eng. It was the one where I felt, oh, people listen, this is very cool and so lucky. My favorite song from one is “Multiply.” It’s still one I play live. My second ep is called Comfortable in painwhich is a little shorter and my favorite song that is “Lagoon.” It has the lyrics: “I have comfortable pain / my love is a lagoon too deep to become known by you.” It’s something I really felt at the time I began to feel like a stranger to myself, where I suddenly had to be a little public. I felt unknown and known and I didn’t know what I was doing to deserve attention. I also didn’t know how to tell the story. I felt like I embraced my own mystery. I released my album a few years later in 2024 and it’s called No way to relax when you’re on fire.

I saw your music described a few places as “Bedroom Pop.” Is that how you describe yourself? Frankly, I don’t even know what it means.

No, I don’t. I also don’t know what that means and I don’t like it. (Laughs.) I feel like all artists share the same sense of what the hell is genre? Maybe Bedroom Pop is trying to fill that confusion by saying, I don’t know it’s just music. But no, I’m primarily a songwriter. I write all my own songs, usually in a staircase or a place that sounds Exkoey like a bathroom. So I’m more like a bathroom pop artist maybe or a staircase artist. But I’m also very rock and roll, and I’m also very people. I’m just a music freak. I love it all. So I try to cover as much reason as I can.

How would you describe your music for a first time listening?

It’s a fun house and every room is different. It’s all within the same house, but you’ll find many surprises and decorations and details, the closer you look and the deeper you listen.
