There are reports that Manchester United are interested in a loan agreement for the 27-year-old if the city contract expires in June.

Kelly was England’s hero in Euro 2022 when she scored the winning goal against Germany in the final at Wembley to shoot the lions to their first great honor.

But with her playing time limited on City this season, Kelly wants to make sure she is part of Sarina Wiegman’s euro 2025 team as England seems to defend their title this summer in Switzerland.

Kelly Posted on Instagram and said, “A message from me. For a long time I have tried to work through professional challenges privately and not comment in public but with my situation that is increasingly discussing in public space I feel it is time To be open and transparent and you heard it from my perspective.

“An important lesson I’ve learned in my life is that although I can’t control anyone’s negative behavior towards me, I can check how long I’m prepared to tolerate it.

“From day one, I’ve felt so much love from my teammates and fans. With my contract expiring in June, I’ve accepted that my future is not in this club beyond that time.”

Kelly added: “With what is approaching the Euro, this summer is a huge one and I will be able to give it my best shot to represent my country. Something that has always filled me with such pride, and It’s a true honor to do so.

“But to be dictated who I can and cannot participate with only four months left of the football season has a huge impact on not only my career but my mental well -being. The situation is drawn too long, it is disappointing and not right .

“I am at a central point of my life and my career is so important to me and (it) is very disappointing that the sport we love can make you feel like that, especially after there has been So much growth in our sport.

“This is why I send this because I want to make you all aware that we as players dedicate our lives to our sports and our clubs, but our dreams can be crushed while living in silence.

“I am human and I have and will give everything to the game I love. In the end, I just want to be happy again.”
