Olivia Rodrigo performs ‘driver’s license’ and ‘deja vu’ at FireAid

“It has been heartbreaking to witness all this destruction in this incredible city,” Rodrigo told the audience. “I find this place so beautiful and so inspiring.”

Olivia Rodrigo took the stage at FireAid near the end of the evening and performed her breakthrough hits “driver’s license” and “Deja vu.”

“Thank you so much for having me,” she told the audience before starting in “Deja Vu.” “Thank you so much for being here. It has been heartbreaking to witness all this destruction in this incredible city. I love LA, I’ve lived in LA all my life. I find this place so beautiful and so inspiring. I’ve written so many songs about living here as this one. “

Rodrigo spent most of 2024 on the road and completed his world tour to support the second album Gut. More than 1.4 million people participated in her 95 shows, which totaled gross $ 186.6 million-what made it the highest gross tour of an artist born in this century. (She wraps a few more shows in South America and England in the spring and summer.) Last October Rodrigo released Guts World Tour Movies on Netflix, shapes around her hometown shows in Los Angeles.

“I get really nervous about La and New York shows because all my friends are there and so that it was filmed was also just another element of nerve-wracking,” she told Rolling Stone in a recent conversation. “But it was really special to film it in my hometown. I think I wouldn’t have it in any other way. I have such a connection to LA, and LA has worked as so much inspiration for me over the years. It felt serendipithy.
