Lakers 134-96 Wizards (January 30, 2025) Game ReCAPT

Washington-Lebron James had 24 points and 11 assists before resting for the last quarter of Los Angeles Lakers’ 134-96 Rout of the Washington Wizards on Thursday night.

While James was sitting out, his son Bronny played the fourth quarter and scored a career high five point-one development that pleased the crowd, even on the road.

It was the 16th consecutive loss for Washington tying a franchise post. This is the second time this season, the wizards have fallen so many in a row.

This one was never close to the first few minutes, though Lakers lacked Anthony Davis due to an abdominal muscle tribe. Washington was without rookie Alex Sarr, who had a sprained left ankle.

Los Angeles has won five of six and rebounding from a 14-point loss in Philadelphia on Tuesday night.

This was Lakers’ most quirky victory this season and surpassed their 111-88 victory over the wizards just over a week ago.

With Lakers up with 39 and 1:25 back, Los Angeles Rookie Dalton Knecht was called on two technical errors – apparently to crank – and thrown out.

Jordan Poole led the wizards with 19 points.

Takeaways

Lakers: LeBron James was questionable due to left foot problems, so Los Angeles was probably happy to give him the last quarter off with a big lead.

Wizards: Washington pulled 78-45 at the break, most points that Wizards have allowed in the first half of the season.

Keying moment

The audience sang after Bronny James well before finally going in. He shot 1 out of 6 from the field, but he eventually entered the scoring column with a drifting set -up while being buried by Tristan Vukcevic with 2:48 Play. James converted free throw into a three-point game.

Key State

Wizards were the fifth team that lost at least 16 straight matches on several occasions in one season, according to Sportradar.

Up next

Lakers have two matches left on their road trip. They play at New York on Saturday. Washington is at Minnesota on Saturday night.
