Euro euro euro to Cork Medical Facility

250 new jobs are being created this year due to the expansion.

GE HEALTHCARE grows its carrigohill site and strengthens Cork’s role as an important hub of pharmaceutical innovation

The new facility is expected to be operational by the end of 2027 and will increase production capacity by 25 million patient doses annually.

President and CEO of GE Healthcare’s Pharmaceutical Diagnostics (PDX) Segment, Kevin O’Neill, said,

“As an industry, we have a responsibility to help meet the growing global demand for contrast media from healthcare providers and their patients. This new facility demonstrates our broader commitment not only to meet future demand, but also to increase the elasticity and security of the industry’s supply to customers. “
