UK Wildcats News: Kentucky gets top-25 win over Alabama

Kentucky women’s basketball has been and is still a pleasure to see this season.

Main coach Kenny Brooks and his No. 12 Wildcats roll through his first year in Lexington and put an 18-2 record over their first 20 match-inclusive team’s 65-56 victory over No. 22 Alabama on Thursday night.

Georgia Amoore continues to play some of the best basketball for someone in the sport, and the players around her are blooming too.

Clara Strack really starts to dominate on the inside and did it against Bama, placed 14 points and grabbed so many rebounds – including five on the offensive glass.

Thursday evening’s result also came with a bit of history when Wildcats registered their 500. Victory in Historic Memorial Coliseum.

Kentucky is an excellent 7-1 in conference games and has looked amazing as the season has gone. They next stand # 13 Oklahoma on the road this Sunday with tip-off scheduled until 5 p.m. 16 one and TV coverage on the SEC network.
