Justin Liles: Near record heights Today, snow returns in the weekend

Many parts of Northland saw a wonderful day today. Many areas were only a few degrees away from record heights. Tonight, sky will see a few more clouds and cool down just a touch. All eyes then change to the weekend as snowfall is approaching. Widespread snowfall is expected on Saturday afternoon and Sunday over Northland. Most areas will look 2 to 6 inches. There is a chance to see some heavier quantities along the higher terrain in North Shore. These areas can see as much as 6-8 ”snow.

Roads will probably be smooth Saturday afternoon and evening. Sunday morning is likely to be smooth too. This will also be a wet heavy snow, so you may want to remove the snow a little at a time. Otherwise, wait until the end can be difficult to shovel or leave snow stuck in the snow blower. Colder conditions move behind the snow next week.
