Karla Sofía Gascón apologizes for past controversial submissions

“Emilia Pérez” star Karla Sofía Gascón has had to pause her party to make Oscar’s story to offer an apology.

“I want to acknowledge the conversation about my previous social media posts that have caused evil,” Gascón said in a statement delivered to CNN. “Like someone in a marginalized society, I know this disorder all too well and I am deeply sorry for those I have caused pain. All my life I have fought for a better world. I think light will always prevail over the dark. ”

Gascón is the first openly transcent artist to be nominated for an Oscar award in a working category.
