A warning of high wind and flooding watch is also located for Hawaii Island and Maui through this afternoon.

The juicy front changed over eastern Maui and Hawaii Island early this morning. This front still contains pockets with heavy showers and insulated thunderstorms and will move to Hawaii Island this morning.

There are still intense rainfall rates within the strongest cells capable of producing localized flash floods. Strong Western is also still possible as this rain area and the rear cold front passes over Big Island throughout the day.

Conditions are gradually improved across the state from west to east as cooler, drier air fills behind the front this weekend. Coolers and Breezy trade winds are expected throughout the first half of next week.

Meanwhile, a high surfing advice is turned on for most North Shores with more swells ahead next week. The locally generated wind waves that create for slurked surf along S and W Mures Shores will be on Friday.
