Watch ‘The Voice’ Season 27 Coaches covers Elton Johns ‘Tiny Dancer’

Kelsea Ballerini joins the series along with recurring coaches Michael Bublé, John Legend and Adam Levine

The voice Returns for his 27th season on February 3rd and welcomes the newcomer Kelsea Ballerini along with recurring coaches Michael Bublé, John Legend and Adam Levine. Before they spend the season building their teams and fighting for it, the four musicians met together about a live rendering of Elton John’s “Little Dancer.”

Levine started the performance and marked his return to the series after six years and more than 10 seasons. The legend led to piano when Bublé and Ballerini joined to act verses and harmonize. The group skips the second verse of the song, but its lyrics summarize the reason why they are all together in the first place: “In the auditorium/she looks at the songs/words she knows, the tune she hums.”

The new list of coaches only finds bublé returning from last season, debuting with Snoop Dogg, Gwen Stefani and Reba Mcentire. Season 27 marks Levine’s first without Blake Shelton, who left the series in 2023 after 23 seasons. “I feel that no time has not passed, but then it also feels so different in a fantastic way,” Levine told E News. “It’s funny, I didn’t really miss it while I was gone. But I became more nostalgic about it when I came back. ”

The legend appeared on seasons 15 to 22 before returning to seasons 24 and 25. Bublé has a season under his belt, but Ballerini has been a friend of the show for years. She served as a combatman in season 16 in 2019 and performed another performance in 2021 when she briefly filled in to Kelly Clarkson in Season 20.

“I had to fill out to Kelly a few years ago, to the Camps,” Ballerini told NBC. “I have a screen shot of this group chat with all my girlfriends. And I said, ‘I really want this job one day.’ “
