Pelicans’ Murray suffers from the lower right leg damage vs. Celtics

New Orleans-Pelican’s Guard Dejointe Murray left Friday night’s 118-116 loss to Boston in the first quarter due to an injury to his lower right leg.

Murray drove into the field and took a shot and then went to chase his miss. But he fell to court and grabbed the area near his right foot. When he got up, he hobby towards the nearby Pelican bench.

In a speech after the game, New Orleans coach Willie Green said Murray should undergo imaging on the leg. The team had no additional updates beyond that.

The injured pelicans already played without Zion Williamson, Brandon Ingram and Herb Jones.
