It then became Ernie Johnson’s solemn duty to inform O’Neal that Morant would not play in the game due to injury.

As a professional, O’Neal turned quickly and told the audience at home to forget what he had just said.
Morant has struggled to get into the field this season after missing out on 20 games due to injury. But in O’Neal’s defense, Star Guard had played in Grizzlies’ last two matches and was excluded only by the game about three hours before the analyst made his comments.
