Emilia Pérez Star Karla Sofía Gascón has disabled her Twitter/X account after posting an apology over controversial posts she previously made on the platform.
From Friday, January 31, her account is no longer active.
The Spanish star – who became the first open transsexual actress to be nominated for the best actor Academy Award – shared the previous day that she was “deeply sorry for X that reappeared online earlier this week.
“I want to acknowledge the conversation about my previous social media posts that have caused evil,” Gascon said 52, in his statement. “Like someone in a marginalized society, I know this disorder all too well and I am deeply sorry for the ones I have caused pain. All my life I have fought for a better world. I think light will always prevail over the dark. ”

An X -user who links to Hagi’s post, wrote That they are “curious about how Emilia Perez role crew and academic voters will respond to Karla Sofia Gascon’s Islamophobic and bad tweets.
