Ticketmaster agrees to pay $ 6m but denies misleading marketing charges

Ticketmaster has agreed to pay $ 6 million in a class action settlement approved by a Saskatchewan court for alleged misleading marketing practice.

In Class Action Suit, Crystal Watch Vs. claims Live Nation (parent company for Ticketmaster) that the company deals with misleading marketing.

The applicant refers to false marketing, especially how Ticketmaster sold and showed his ticket fees and claimed that the violated consumer protection and business practice ACT SS 2024, C C-30.2.

While Ticketmaster has denied the allegations and has not admitted responsibilities, it has accepted the settlement agreement, which means that eligible ticket buyers will be compensated.

Ticket buyers who are considered eligible class members will be paid for CAD $ 45 in the form of an electronic, non-refundable, non-content convertible gift card to be used for ticket master events in Canada or USA

‘Credit -eligible class members’ are entitled to get a credit through the requirement process under the settlement agreement.

Who is eligible?

According to Settlement siteYou are considered a ‘credit -related class member’ if you purchased a ticket from January 1, 2018 to June 30, 2018.

It can be used to buy tickets, parking and some merchandise at Ticketmaster.com, Ticketmaster.ca and Livenation.com. They can only be used to buy events in Canada and the US, not with Major League Baseball.
