No. 10 Boilermakers (16-5, 8-2 The Big Ten) is 7-1 in January and jumps back from a rare loss by jumping on Michigan from the jump and never letting up. Braden Smith had a superlative performance (24 points, 10 assists, 7 rebounds, 4 steals) and Trey Kaufman-Renn, Fletcher Loyer and CJ Cox added double figure scoring. In its seven January wins, Purdue has kept opponents for 39.5% shooting from the field and 26.7% on 3-Pointers.

The Hoosiers (14-7, 5-5) have fallen four of their last five matches, including a heartache against Maryland last weekend. Oumar Ballo has been IU’s only consistent presence, an average of 15.2 points, 12.0 rebounds and 3.2 assists during this stretch.
