Powerful rainfall causing high water

Kanawha County, W.Va. (WSAZ) – High water reports begin to be reported throughout the region after a heavy rainfall on Friday morning.

Emergency employees say Route 61 in Handelsy will be closed to all traffic due to high water so far.

Drivers should also be careful in the range of 3800 blocks of Pennsylvania Avenue (Route 119) in Crede.

Senders say there have been reports of high -water blocking part of the roadway.

Emergency officials are reminiscent of drivers on Friday of never driving through high water.
