Navy -Facilities in Annapolis opened again after bomb threats

Navy facilities in the Annapolis area opened again Friday afternoon after being locked for several hours due to bomb threats, military officials said.

Naval support activity Annapolis, located over the Severn River from the US Naval Academy, received several bomb threats, officials said. They did not offer further details about the bomb threats.

In response, officials ordered a lockdown on the Navy’s northern Severn complex. The complex includes Naval Support —Activity Annapolis as well as Naval Academy Primary and Secondary School, who educate children from both military and non -military families.

Naval Academy, which trains future navy and marine officers, was also locked down to part of the afternoon, although normal operations resumed, and the visitors center was reopened at. 16.00
