Pete Davidson has learned a painful, yet valuable lesson.

During a recent performance on the “The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, the late night noted that Davidson’s many tattoos appear to disappear.

“Yes, I’ve burned them off,” Davidson shared with Fallon. “They’re almost gone.”

When asked if the process was painful, Davidson described it as “terrible” and at some levels worse than getting the tattoos in the first place.

“They have to burn a layer of your skin, and then it has to be healed for six to eight weeks and you can’t get into the sunlight,” he said. “Then you should do it as 12 times more.”

Davidson kept his humor on it as the audience gasped surprised at that revelation.

“So think of the ‘Game of Thrones’ tattoo you are thinking of getting, okay?,” He joked. “Really think about it.”

The former “SNL” crew member said he believes he had a total of about 200 tattoos and only plans to keep a precious few.
