Las Vegas Mother -son Crime Duo to appear on Dateline

The infamous case of Sante Kimes and her son Kenny, a mother-son duo from Las Vegas, will be the focus of a Dateline episode tonight.

The couple together with Sante’s husband Kenneth lived in a home near Flamingo and Eastern in the 1990s and were convicted of several crimes in the area, including store lift, slave waves undocumented immigrants and tried to break down their own home for insurance money.

Keith Morrison will dive into the cross -country search for mother and son after they were charged with murder.

“There are many kinds of villains … and all kinds of problems,” Morrison said. “A story as opposed to someone else we’ve ever encountered.”

Kent Walker, another son of Sante Kimes, reflected on his relationship with his mother and said, “There is probably not another son on this planet who loved his mother as much as I loved mine.”

Walker described himself as his mother’s “greatest disappointment” after he ran away, while Morrison noted that Kenny “didn’t have a chance” with Sante as his mother.

Clarissa McNair, who has investigated the case, said, “This is one who gets what she wants.”

Bill Cox, who encountered Sante Kimes, described her as “the most evil woman I have ever met.”

The episode will explore the staggering scale and scope of their crimes that stretched from New York to Los Angeles, Hawaii and the Caribbean.
