Shara Magomedov becomes honest about eye mode with the UFC veteran who also reviewed similar trial

UFC Middleweight Prospect Shara Magomedov is quite the unique individual in the sport. Not only is he one of the most dangerous strikers in the UFC today, he is also blind in one eye. ‘Bullet’ fights – and wins – against some of the most dangerous men in the world while they only look through one eye.

However, he is not the first to achieve this remarkable achievement. It has been done by another person before – and he became UFC master. This fighter is the former UFC middleweight master and Bonafide -legend Michael ‘The Count’ Bisping.

It’s not a surprise that Magomedov looks up to bisping as inspiration. In an interview with Bisping himself, Magomedov talked about a time when he used Brit as motivation for a title match in a local promotion in Russia (translated):

“I needed some kind of motivation to be able to fight in the championship. Because I thought I would never be allowed to do with my condition. And that was when I started following you. And I saw that you too was having trouble with your eye but you didn’t tell anyone.

‘Bullet’ added:

“When I saw what you were able to achieve with your condition – my condition is very similar – you were a huge motivation for me to even be in the sport in the first place.”

Michael Bisping and Shara Magomedov agree that the eye problem never bothered them

Michael Bisping thanked Shara Magomedov for the kind words and said he is humble about the recognition that his persecution of greatness despite his disability inspired someone. He also mentioned that he, as a ‘bullet’, originally suffered from a detached retina, but his condition went on to glaucoma.

Despite this, the ‘counting’ found a huge success inside Octagon. He simply never felt like the eye state matters.

Bisping said:

“It never bothered me. People were always like, ‘Well, how are you struggling with one eye?’ But for me I was like, I knew I could fight and I still became the master.

Magomedov will fight Michael ‘Venom’ page in the Co-Main event of UFC Saudi Arabia this weekend. In his pentathlon UFC race so far ‘Bullet’ has only fought in the Middle East.
