An aerial ambulance that transports a child who had just completed the treatment of a life-threatening state, her mother and four others, has crashed into a Philadelphia neighborhood in the United States.

The plane crashed shortly after starting just after 7 p.m.

The incident marked another US aviation disaster after a passenger aircraft and a military helicopter collided Midair in Capital Washington, DC, earlier this week.

Jet Rescue Air Ambulance operating Learjet 55, said in a statement, “We can’t confirm any survivor.” It said the plane had four crew members except for the child and her mother.

All six aboard were Mexican citizens, the country’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

The child was transported home, according to Jet Rescue spokesman Shai Gold. The final destination of the aircraft was Tijuana after a stop in Missouri, approx. 1,800 km (1,100 miles) to the southwest.

“The patient had received the care of Shriner’s Children’s Philadelphia and was transported back to his homeland in Mexico on a contracted air ambulance when the crash happened,” said Mel Bower, a spokesman for Shriner’s Children’s Hospital.

Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle Parker told a news conference on stage that several houses and cars had been shrouded in flames. She said the situation is “all hands on the deck, that’s where we are right now”.

Pennsylvania -Governor Josh Shapiro told journalists on the crash scene that “we know there will be losses in this region”. “We will offer our thoughts and our serious prayers to those who grieve at this moment,” Shapiro said.

“So sad to see the plane go down in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. More innocent souls lost. Our people are completely engaged. The first respondents are already getting the credit for doing a good job, ”US President Donald Trump wrote on social media.

The accident follows this week’s collision of an American Airlines and an American Army Black Hawk Helicopter over Washington, DC, killing 67 people in the deadliest plane crash in the United States since 2009.
