Luka Doncics Damage State Before Mavericks Piston’s Matchup

For the first time in the NBA season 2024-2025, Dallas Mavericks and Detroit Piston are set to fight for Friday night.

When the stamps host Mavs, visitors do not have a key name in the mixture as Luka Doncic stays away from the floor as he continues to heal from a calf injury.

Last time Doncic played for Mavs was back on Christmas Day. Mavericks hosted Minnesota Timberwolves and managed to only roll out Doncic for 16 minutes.

When Star Guard left the court, he had 14 points on 56 percent shooting from the field along with five rebounds and two assists.

Mavericks took a loss against Timberwolves and would soon go on a big losing row as they were looking for ways to survive life without Doncic so far.

Before he went out with his injury, Doncic showed up in just 22 matches for Mavs this year. He produced 28 points per Match with eight rebounds and eight assists. By taking almost 10 triangles per Fight was Doncic on average 35 percent beyond the arch.

Recently, it was reported that Mavericks is optimistic about a potential return as early as before the NBA’s All-Star break next month.

On Sunday, February 16, the NBA will hold its annual All-Star event.

While Doncic could return before then, he certainly doesn’t see the stamps until then. Mavericks will continue to improve their status in the western conference without the superstar on the field.

At 26-22 in the year, Mavericks places eighth in the West. They are a half game behind Minnesota Timberwolves. Currently, Mavs is on a two-game-winning row.

On the other hand, the pistons are looking to climb out of a three-match’s losing row. After a recent loss on the road to Indiana Pacers, the stamps fell to 23-24 in the year. They are a half game behind the seventh seeded Miami Heat.

Last season, Mavs and Pistons shared their series in the season. Both Doncic and Kyrie Irving were not part of the action in the mid-April game. The stamps also missed their star guard, Cade Cunningham.

The next chance that the stamps could meet Doncic is when they visit Dallas Mavericks on March 21.
