Vanessa Bauer ends ITV Dancing On Ice As Show Issuess Statement on Skater’s Exit

ITV Dancing on Ice Pro Vanessa Bauer has been forced to stop dancing on ice due to a “major” injury, the dancer has confirmed.

The 28-year-old German had been collaborated with Love Island star Chris Taylor for the 2025 series.

The official dance in the ICE account that announced the news on Instagram wrote: “Unfortunately, Vanessa Bauer would sustained an injury while behind the stage and after medical advice will not be able to skate the rest of the series.”

“We would like to thank Vanessa for all her hard work of dancing on Ice cream, and Wishing her quick recovery! “

Sharing the news on her on her own social media also told Bauer fans: “I am here today with rather disturbing news. Unfortunately, I will not be able to continue dancing on ice cream with Chris.

“I’ve been training Chris since October last year, and it’s always such an amazing achievement for myself to see someone else go so much in a skill they’ve never done before.

“So it’s been really rewarding for me to see this whole trip for Chris (and) the way he’s got a better week since October, and since the live shows started,” she continued.

However, she also revealed the sad news that “I unfortunately had a little accident behind the stage last week at the Dancing On Ice just before the Live show on Sunday”.

Bauer added: “I did not realize how bad it was then, but we did a MRI, and it turned out that I have a completely torn ligament, class three spraining damage and a greater grade two spraining damage.

“I should not go skating on such a damage, and then I take all the advice of the medical professionals here, I am in very good hands.”

“My pain threshold, I don’t trust it, I’ve skated all week with a lot of pain, but I just didn’t realize it was such a significant injury, so I didn’t vote my pain. It just shows that you need to listen to your body and try to set a lot on your body, ”Bauer reflected.

It reveals that she would now seek rehabilitation for her injuries, the 28-year-old fans told: “I don’t want this injury that is already bad to get even worse, and the sensible decision is to go away, make rehabilitation, focus On my health – I also guess for mental health – because it’s really bad that I have to leave.

“But I’m excited to get better and get back to skating properly every single day,” she ended up on a positive note.

Bauer wrote: “Thank you very much for your support this season and over the past 8 years!”

“There are so much really exciting things that happen years, and I look forward to being healed properly for it! I want to be there that supports you every step along the way,” she concluded.

The German skater has been part of Dancing on Ice since 2018, when the 2025 series marks its eighth year on the show.
