IU Women’s Basketball Alum Grace Berger is waived by Indiana FeverAccording to the WNBA transaction page.

Berger was No. 7 election of IU in the 2023 draft after a famous five-year-old Hoosiers career.

She made the AP all-rookie team in 2023, an average of 4.2 points and 1.9 assists per Match. Her role fell in 2024, but appeared only in 11 games (mostly in garbage time) and an average of 2.8 points in these appearances.

The fever has made several traits during the free agency period so far, which included re -revision of the guard Kelsey Mitchell and added Natasha Howard, Dewanna Bonner, Sophie Cunningham and Jaelyn Brown. These additions, while making the fever better, made the watch room crowded. That left a little room for Berger.

With these high-profile signings, the fever was also needed to make up some cap space. Berger had to earn $ 79,999, but it is unprotected so Indiana can waive her without monetary punishment.

If Berger clears exceptions, she becomes an unlimited free agent who is able to sign with any team in WNBA.
