On a wet and windy day at Pebble Beach, the world # 3 Rory McIlroy looked plenty. The four-time big champion fired a seven-under 65 to charge a controversy before Sunday’s final round.

Grand Master and Friend Shane Lowry matched McIlroy’s 65 Saturday to match his total score of 15 under. But De Trail Sepp Straka, who made Birdie on four of his last five holes to take the lead back at 16.

Players will be grouped in triangles and play Split Tees on Sunday. McIlroy, Lowry and Straka leave in the last pairing on the front nine at. 13:15 ET.
