Bucs sweat the little things in front of Paladin’s matchup | Wjhl

Johnson City, Tenn. (WJHL) – ETSU -men’s basketball has dropped four conference games so far this season. But none of them have been blowing.

In fact, the blue and gold have not lost in Socon in 2025 by more than eight points – and twice the deficit has been only three points.

It is certainly a sign of experience and graciousness that this veteran list possesses. But some of the same veterans think it can also be a lesson in sweating the little things.

“About 50-50 balls we could have come up with just little things like that,” said senior fronts Jaden Seymour. “All – as little as they look, they all add in the end.”

“Everything has to mean more,” explained candidate guard John Buggs III. “It must be as if the game is on the field for the special acting.”

ETSU Head coach Brooks Savage rolled by specific cases and situations in the last few weeks, believing his team had the chances of winning the games with the details.

“There are game -winning plays everywhere,” he said. “And the teams who can understand that any possession there is a game-winning game-you have to rebel the ball by 14 minutes to go in the first half as you would with two minutes to go in a close game.”

“When you can understand it, I think you can grow and get better and start doing more of these plays.”

BUCS (12-10, 5-4 socon) seems to put the mindset to action the rest of the way that begins with Furman on Sunday afternoon. Tip-off is set to at 1 p.m. 14 inside Freedom Hall.
