Raiders hiring former Eagles, 49ers HC Chip Kelly as offensive coordinator

Chip Kelly is back in the NFL after almost a decade away.

Raiders hiring Kelly as their next offensive coordinator, the NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported Sunday.

Kelly, who served as offensive coordinator of Ohio State Buckeyes during their race to 2024 College Football Playoff National Championship, worked last in the NFL as head coach of San Francisco 49ers in 2016 after a stint as head coach of Philadelphia Eagles from 2013-2015.

He now joins Pete Carroll’s staff in Las Vegas, who wants to rectify an offense that ranked 29. In the score during the campaign in 2024.
