Babyface Maybe be a R&B legend with 12 grammys under the belt … but he was pretty much on music’s biggest evening-fordi a few interviewers cut him from the middle-answer to try to get Chappell RoanAttention to Grammys!

The moment went down on the red carpet before the show Sunday … A few journalists ask him about the emergence of female artists in R&B and about the genre mixed with other music.

Babyface begins to answer the question … when one of the interviewers sees Roan – and can hardly seem to contain her enthusiasm.

Ever the professional, babyface just smile and ask if they would rather talk to Roan … When they tell him yes, he gives the microphone back – smile on the face – and walk away.

It’s a red blanket reporter Faux Pass for sure … and it made an awkward ending to what was up to the point a very polite conversation.
