Shakira reunite with Jennifer Lopez in Grammy’s 2025 while shouting ‘immigrant brothers and sisters’

Shakira and Jennifer Lopez met again for 2025 Grammys.

Sunday February 2nd, Shakira, 48, took home the best Latin pop album to Las mujeres ya no lloran at the 67th annual Grammy Awards at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

“Jenny from The Block” singer, 55, proudly presented “Hips Don’t Lie” singer with the award as the two stars were reunited on stage for the first time since their Super Bowl life breaks in February 2020.

“Wow, this is incredible,” Shakira said at the start of her acceptance speech. “Thank you so much. Thank you so much. ”

The “Waka Waka” singer also used the moment to share a very personal message.

“I want to dedicate this award to all my immigrant brothers and sisters in this country you are loved. You are worth it and I will always fight with you, ”said Shakira.

“And to all the women who work really hard every day to provide for their families, you are the true shoes. So this is for you too, ”she continued.

Her words came when President Donald Trump and his administration continued to double their immigration snack and enforce deportations.

Before the ending, Grammy winnered his win to his two children who saw from the audience. Shakira shares sons Milan Piqué Marak, 12, and Sasha Piqué Mebarak, 10, with his ex-partner Gerard Piqué.

“I’m so proud of you for your kind hearts. Thank you so much for supporting me as you do. I love you. Thank you, ”she said.

Las mujeres ya no lloranwhich is translated into “Women is no longer crying”, the Colombian singer-songwriter’s first album in seven years.

“To make this body of work has been an alchemical process. While I was writing every song, I rebuilt myself. While I sang them, my tears were transformed into diamonds and my vulnerability to strength,” Shakira said of the 16-track album In February 2024.

Other artists nominated for the best Latin pop album included: Anitta’s Funk generationLuis Fonsi’s EL VIJEKany García’s García and kali uchis with Orquídeas.
