Will Metro Vancouver Schools be closed due to snow on Monday?

The lower mainland has been hit by an explosion of winter, but so far there is no word from school districts about whether or not there will be school closures.

The Vancouver School District says it is aware of warnings and weather forecasts, but says that all schools in the district will remain open if possible during serious weather events.

From Sunday afternoon there is no word from Burnaby, Surrey or Abbotsford school districts either.

Students after secondary at UBC, SFU and BCIT-TROR also not that you are off the hook. So far, there have been no messages from these schools except SFU that says its Bennett -Library on Burnaby -Campus is closed due to the weather.
